KARACHI, Feb 8: A 16-year-old boy, student of class X, was shot and wounded by two cell phone snatchers on Thursday.

Police said Usman Jawaid was talking on his cellphone in front of his school in PECH Society Block-6 at around 12:45pm. two men on a motorcycle approached him and asked him to hand over his phone. The armed motorcyclists fired at him when he resisted them.

The injured youth was shifted to Jinnah Post-graduate Medical Centre where doctors said the victim sustained a bullet in his abdomen..

MONEY RECOVERED: Police recovered Rs4,690,000 from a vehicle which the bandits had taken away at gunpoint on Wednesday.

Mohammed Shahzad, manager of a factory, was being driven in his company’s Suzuki Hi-roof when four bandits snatched the vehicle at gunpoint on Karimabad Bridge.

The manager had kept the money in a secret cavity in the vehicle which was found abandoned in Federal B. Area.
