3 Bangladeshis held at Torkham border

LANDI KOTAL, Feb 7: Political authorities arrested three Bangladeshis at the Torkham border checkpoint here on Wednesday, officials said.

Mohammad Yousaf, Abdul Hanan and Abdullah were coming from Afghanistan and carried no travel documents on them, the officials said.

They were taken into custody after entering into the Pakistani territory and shifted to a lock-up in Landi Kotal for interrogation.

Meanwhile, border authorities arrested two Afghan nationals for carrying one kg opium at the Torkham checkpoint, officials said.

The Afghans were identified as Khana Gul and Zahid, residents of Kunar province.
