HYDERABAD, Feb 7: District Nazim Kanwar Naveed Jamil has asked the SITE management to pay dues running into millions of rupees to the Water and Sanitation Agency (Wasa), which was in the grip of financial crisis.

The nazim said while presiding over a meeting of SITE and HDA officials at his office on Tuesday that the agency had not been able to pay salaries to its employees for las many months.

He said that different organisations including SITE owed the agency tens of millions of rupees. The agency, which had to maintain 3,500 kilometres of water pipelines was facing insurmountable problems in performing its job for want of funds, he added.
