KARACHI: 97,913 liquor bottles destroyed


KARACHI, Feb 7: Pakistan Customs destroyed a huge quantity of confiscated goods, including 97,913 bottles of liquor, on Wednesday.

The process was supervised by Customs Deputy Collector (Preventive) Khalil Yusfani in the presence of diplomats and officials of different foreign missions, the spokesman said.

He said the goods transported to an open place near Neelam Point at Hawksbay in 12 containers also included 123,422kg betel nuts, 60kg heroin and 33,442 pirated CDs and a huge quantity of smuggled medicines.—Staff Reporter
