KARACHI, Feb 6: Pakistan Cricket Club advanced into the Super League of the NBP-KCCA Inter Club Tournament after recording a nine-wicket victory against Steel Town Gymkhana here on Monday at the Punjab Ground.
Rizwan Khan and Faraz Ahmed took four and three wickets respectively as the winners Pakistan CC bowled Steel Town Gymkhana out for only 138 in the 38th over in a group A battle.
In reply, Pakistan CC achieved their target off only 22 overs with opener Mansoor Baig (89 not out) being the top scorer, hitting six fours and as many sixes. He along with Zeeshan Jamil (44) added 136 for the first wicket.
Meanwhile, Buffer Zone Eaglets recorded a 20-run victory over Opera Cricket Club. Batting first, Buffer Zone Eaglets posted 128 before being bowled out off 28.3 overs. Opera CC could only manage 108 before being dismissed off 21.5 overs. Spinner Ali shone for the victors with his match-winning figures of 4-22.
