KARACHI: Control over telecom urged

By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, Feb 6: The promotion of information technology is not possible without effective control over telecommunication sector as most of the IT work depends on it.

This was stated by Sindh IT Adviser Noman Saigol while presiding over a meeting of his IT department officials here on Tuesday.

The meeting called for determining the role of telecommunication at the provincial and district level.

Endorsing the suggestion, Mr Saigol said that with the establishment of the IT department, the role of the telecommunication should have been determined as in every project whether it was E-policing’s Madadgar 15 project, E-government project or web portal project there was a role of the telecommunication.
