KARACHI: Tele-film marks Kashmir Day

KARACHI, Feb 6: Sindh Minister for Culture Rauf Siddiqi has called upon writers to make such efforts whereby war against invading foreign cultures is vigorously fought.

He was speaking as the chief guest at the inauguration of a tele-film `Victory’, produced by Omer Sharif on Kashmir, and exhibited on Monday night at the Arts Council on the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day.

The minister said that anyone who raised voice for righteousness could not be an ordinary person and only those who rendered themselves restless to provide comfort and succour to others can produce such good writings.

“It is a best film on Kashmiri Mujahideen from technical point of view,” he said.

He added that it was a lesson to learn by not only Kashmiri Muslims but also Indian Hindus as in it special care had been taken of human rights and presentation of best example of human sympathy.

Earlier, the film's writer, director and producer, Omer Sharif, also spoke on the occasion and urged the people to watch the movie.—APP
