KARACHI, Feb 6: Seven ships carrying palm oil, logs and to load ethanol are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources.
Berthing activity at the wharves was on the higher side where 16 ships were berthed during the last two days, notable among them being Sancris to load rice, Corin Thaikos, Iran Sattari, Vicoty-1, Gulf Bridge, Wan Hai-315, Mol Kauri, Cosco Panama, and Hyley Nadhi to load and unload containers, Atlantic Express and Iron Butterfly to unload and load general cargo.
Sailing was also fairly active as 20 vessels departed, including Sima Parsa, Oel Aishwarya, Oel Esteem, Haley Nadhi, Iran Sattari, Y.M.Sun, Cosco Panama, Wan Hai-315, Lalazar, Multan, Pacific Pioneer, and Atlantic Express, while the only ship, Mac Aandresew Swala is due to sail out on Wedneday.
A total tonnage of 0.286m tons comprising 77,894 tons of export cargo, including 3,594 tons of rice and 0.208m tons of import tonnage was handled during the last two days.
The following ships are due on Wednesday: Gemini, with 8,000 tons of plam oil, Star-1, to load ethanol, Oel Patriot, Y.M.Faha, Hyundai Future, with containers, Golden Win, with steel and Yasmina, with logs.
