‘Official PPP disappearing’

Published February 6, 2007

VEHARI, Feb 5: The establishment has failed to keep the official Pakistan People’s Party intact and it plans to merge the Rao-led PPP into the official Pakistan Muslim League (PML). This was said by Benazir-led PPP vice chairman Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani on Monday.

He said the rulers had tried to divide the PPP by creating the Millat Party, but the party was merged into the ruling PML. Now, the Patriots’ PPP was going to meet the same fate, he said.
