ISLAMABAD, Feb 4: Islamabad will take on Multan in the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy Silver League tournament after their preliminary round match ended in a draw at the Diamond Club Ground on Sunday.

Multan finished second in the standings with 21 points behind unbeaten Islamabad (39). Had Abbottabad not lost to Lahore Ravi, Multan would have not qualified since they would have finish level on points with Abbottabad, who earned first-innings points against them.

The final day was hit by inclement weather with only 38 overs possible during which Multan took their overnight score of 6-0 to 127-5.

The five-day final is scheduled to be played at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore from Wednesday. The PCB have appointed Mian Aslam and Siddique as umpires with Azhar Khan the match referee and Abdul Hameed as the official scorer.
