Man held for killing brother’s wife

TIMERGARAH, Feb 4: Two people lost their lives in an honour-related incident in the Haya Serai locality in the jurisdiction of Balamat police station on Saturday night.

A resident of Haya Serai, Mohammad Jan told police that on Saturday night he woke up on suspicion that someone had entered his home and loaded his Kalashnikov.

He said that entering the room of his sister-in-law he saw Gulzar, son of Haider, there. In a fit of rage, he opened fire, killing both of them.

While presenting himself to police, Mohammad Jan Khan further said that his brother was working abroad and during his absence his wife, Rawasia had befriended Gulzar.

The police sent him to local jail on Sunday.
