KARACHI: Ghaffar, Wali remembered

By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, Feb 4: The Awami National Party (ANP) held a public meeting here on Sunday to mark the 19th death anniversary of Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan and the first death anniversary of Khan Abdul Wali Khan.

Addressing the participants of the meting, held at Empress Market, they urged people to follow the teachings of their great leaders who always preached non-violence, peace and harmony.

They recalled that Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan, through his philosophy of non-violence, had forced the colonial powers to leave the subcontinent, whereas his son, Khan Abdul Wali Khan, never bowed to the dictatorial regimes at any stage across his life. He devoted his entire life for the cause of a just society and democracy.
