KARACHI: Kashmiris’ struggle eulogised

By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, Feb 4: Leaders and activists of the Jamaat-i-Islami, addressing a rally on the eve of the Kashmir Day here on Sunday, said that the army generals who had failed to protect the country’s ideological boundaries could not defend its geographical boundaries.

They eulogised the steadfastness and determination of Kashmiri people who have been fighting for their right to self-determination and other fundamental rights for decades. They expressed solidarity with the Kashmiri brethren in their struggle for the cause.

They claimed that General Pervez Musharraf and the government in Islamabad had weakened Pakistan by changing its Kashmir policy repeatedly. This, they observed, had undermined the country’s principled stand on the issue.
