ISLAMABAD, Feb 3: Azhar Mahmood, the former Test all-rounder, sent another emphatic reminder to the national selectors by scoring century in each innings against Multan in Quaid-i-Azam Trophy Silver League match at the Diamond Club Ground on Saturday.
The Islamabad skipper stroked his way to 169 in the second innings after making 105 in the first. Azhar’s belligerent 192-ball knock contained 24 fours and five sixes which helped Islamabad declared their innings at 482 for six.
Bilal Asad was in punishing mood as he hammered 146 off 248 balls with the help of 16 boundaries and put on 306 for the fourth-wicket with Azhar.
Multan ended the day on six for no loss in pursuit of an unreachable target of 644 runs.
