Rs103m scheme approved

MUZAFFARABAD, Feb 2: The steering committee of the Earthquake Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Authority (Erra) has approved a scheme worth Rs103 million to increase the capacity of the Development Authority of Muzaffarabad (DAM).

DAM has been assigned the task to implement the master plan for the Muzaffarabad city worked out by Japan International Cooperation Agency (Jica).

DAM chairman Zahid Amin told reporters that the scheme was aimed at recruiting technical staff and purchasing equipment.

The scheme was approved at a meeting held here with additional chief secretary (development) in the chair.
