Mansoor PDP head again

LAHORE, Feb 2: Nawabzada Mansoor Khan has been elected unopposed president of the Pakistan Democratic Party.

Basharat Mirza, Javed Khan Swati and Muhammad Imran Samdani have been elected vice-presidents.

Khwaja Izhar has been retained as information secretary.

A decision on the secretary-general will be taken on Feb 18, on which day the elections for the Punjab office-bearers are stated.

Nawaz Gondal, Syed Arshad Hashmi, Martin Javed Michael, Rana Zulqernain, Javed Kausar and Malik Mukhtar Awan are among the members of the national working committee.

Mansoor Khan told reporters on Friday that his party would take part in the multi-party conference, as it was the need of the hour.

Mansoor, who is also senior vice-president of the ARD, said a meeting of the coalition would be called in the near future.
