KARACHI: SPLA hails official’s removal

KARACHI, Feb 2: The Sindh Professors & Lecturers’ Association (SPLA) has demanded the removal of the Sindh education minister and an investigation in to what they claimed were irregularities committed in the education department.

In a joint statement issued here on Friday, the SPLA central leadership which included Professors Riaz Ahsan, Liaquat Aziz and others welcomed the removal of the education minister’s personal secretary by the chief minister.

They said the SPLA had frequently highlighted the irregularities in transfers, postings and promotion of teachers and officials in the education department.
