LAHORE, Feb 1: Abbottabad’s pace trio of Sajid Shah, Nasir Jalil and Junaid Khan combined to bundle out Lahore Ravi for 162 on the first day of the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy Silver League fixture at the LCCA Ground on Thursday.
Abbottabad, who have an outside chance of reaching next week’s final against Islamabad, closed at 89 for one in reply.
Lahore Ravi, beaten in three of for previous matches, made a partial recovery after being 24 for five.
Junaid bowled most economically taking three wickets for 33 while Sajid (3-48) and Nasir Jalil (3-63) were also effective.
Former Test opener Taufiq Umar, recalled to lead the side in place of Kashif Siddique, made just two. It was left to tail-ender Wasim Khan (62 not out with eight fours and one six) to add some respectability to the total.
