KARACHI, Jan 31: Tariq Rasheed Khan and Masud Mirza have been elected as secretary and treasurer of the Pakistan Bridge Federation (PBF) for two-year term. It was officially announced on Wednesday that the two were elected after a recently-held meeting of the board of directors of the PBF.

In the meantime, Bexin won Swiss movement competition organised by the Karachi Bridge Association.

Bexin having Farhat Abbas, Nasim, Iqbal Hyder and Ibrahim mustered 100 victory points (VPs) to lead the 13-team competition.

Danny Cool with 87 VPs grabbed second place while Mushahid with 85 VPs secured third position.

F.A. Naeem-Khalid Zaki won pair contest from the North-South direction with handsome score of 68 per cent.

S. M. Ozair with 63.46 per cent score claimed second place and Abdul Kader-Afzal Shaikh scored 58.74 per cent for third position.

From the other direction, Syed Ameer Hussain-Tariq Zafar won the first position with score of 64.74 per cent.

Hamed Mohiuddin-Ziaullah Baig scored 64.27 per cent for second spot and and A.K. Bhurgri-Asghar Naqvi were third with 55.58 per cent score.—APP
