APHC seeks consensus

Published January 30, 2007

NEW DELHI, Jan 29: The All Parties’ Hurriyet Conference has said that it wants to build consensus among the pro-movement groups in occupied Kashmir and ‘institutionalise’ efforts to resolve the issue.

“We have a goal and we will set on it at the earliest. The goal is to build consensus among the pro-movement groups,” APHC chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq said here.

He said his visit to Pakistan was a ‘great success’ and he had found a good number of takers in Azad Jammu and Kashmir for his suggestion of forming two working groups. “They will give suggestions to those involved in track one as well as track two diplomacy,” he said.—APP
