DADU, Jan 29: Police filed an FIR on Monday against Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Pir Mazharul Haq and 29 party workers and local leaders on charges of blocking a road and using strong language against Sindh chief minister at a rally.
Reports reaching here said that a large number of PPP activists staged a rally in the city in protest against Sindh chief minister for what they termed as use insulting language against party chairperson Benazir Bhutto, and PPP leaders’ media trial.
Police registered the FIR against Pir Mazharul Haq, PPP leaders Gul Hassan Panhwar, Mohammad Umer Panhwar and party workers and conducted raids on several places to arrest them.
