PESHAWAR, Jan 29: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Mohammad Ali Durrani in a meeting with NWFP Chief Minister Akram Khan Durrani expressed his grief over the loss of lives in Saturday’s bomb blast.

Conveying concerns of the federal government, he said terrorists usually targetted innocent people and such incidents were heinous and condemnable.

Mr Durrani assured the NWFP chief minister of the federal government’s cooperation in investigating into the bombing and arresting the culprits.

He also conveyed his concerns regarding the missing journalist, Suhail Qalandar.

Akram Khan Durrani said the provincial government was trying to trace his whereabouts and had obtained valuable clues in this regard.

He expressed the hope that with the cooperation of the federal government the provincial government would track down the elements involved in terrorist activities.—APP
