KARACHI: Composite exams: govt’s indecision criticised

By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, Jan 29: The Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal has criticised the Sindh government for failing to take a decision with regard to the proposed system of composite examination, and asked it to declare a clear cut policy without further delay.

In a statement issued here on Monday, MMA legislators Mohammad Hussain Mehanti and Laeeq Khan deplored the governor and provincial government for repeatedly approaching the federal government on an issue which was purely a provincial matter to decide. By indulging in such practices, the provincial government was encouraging the Centre to increase its interference in the provincial matters, they remarked.

The legislators noted that thousands of SSC students were suffering due to the uncertainty about the mode of their next examinations, just a few months away, but the government was yet to come out with a final decision, that could enable the badly disturbed students to continue with their studies with concentration.
