KARACHI: JUP slams govt policies

By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, Jan 29: The Jamiat Ulema-i-Pakistan condemning the government for following the dictates from western countries has demanded that polices that reflected sentiments of people be formulated.

In a statement issued here on Monday, JUP leader Sahibzada Fazal Karim said that though the country was playing a leading role and was termed as a frontline state in war against terrorism, various acts of terrorism had been committed in the country.

The JUP leader said that owing to the anti-people policies the country had been isolated in the international community of countries which was clear from the fact that hardly any country had condemned the Peshawar bomb blast.

He said that this attitude of the international community should be an eye-opener for our policymakers who should now start formulating policies according to the wishes of the masses.
