LAHORE, Jan 27: Four-year-old dark-bay filly, Top Cat, with some fine performances on the trot, looks set to pick up the spoils in a card of five events of the Dadabhoy Cup when the 22nd Lahore Winter Meeting gets underway at the Racecourse on Sunday.

There are seven acceptors barring the last-minute withdrawals.

The filly is contesting in the fourth race and has bright chances of winning after finishing third in her previous engagement of 1400metres. Her closest rival could be Golden Goal, who was penalised by 14 pounds and a distance of 200metres from 1400 to 1600.

Cobbler, the four-year-old bay colt, who is going through a bad patch during current winter meetings, is expected to salvage some of his bloodline prestige by winning the second race.

His main challenger could be seven-year-old gelding, Trump Coup, who was beaten by Queen Of Music on Jan 14.

In third race, four-year-old colt Game Over seems to bag the event. Among 14 rivals, he may face a stiff challenge from Queen Of Music, Puma The Great and Rough Tough.

The first and the last races look open affairs. In the first race, there are ten declared runners while the fifth has 13 strong fields. Both the events largely have runners, who perform at will, often deceiving their connections. Race-goers may find thrills and shrills in these events to their astonishment.

Except the cup event to be gone over 1600metres, the other four events will be contested over 1200metres, the first race will start at 1pm.
