KARACHI, Jan 27: Acting Nazim Nasreen Jalil has assured the city government’s all-out support for improved health care and education facilities in Karachi and lauded the efforts of Ziauddin University, Community of Sikanderabad and Rotary Club of Karachi Centennial for community uplift.

Inaugurating the adoption ceremony of Boat Basin School, Nasreen Jalil urged other organisations too to realise their responsibilities and take part in development activities.

She distributed books and bags among schoolchildren and visited Sikanderabad Primary Healthcare Centre and appreciated the university's endeavour for female literacy programme and human skill development initiative.

Ziauddin University Vice-Chancellor Shahid Aziz Siddiqui, Rotary Club Karachi President Syed Farrukh Mazhar, Family Medicine Department Chairman Dr Jawaid Usman and Sikanderabad Naib Nazim Shahnawaz Jadoon also spoke.—APP
