KARACHI, Jan 27:The Sindh Cabinet will meet here on February 1 under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim, it was officially stated here on Saturday.
BHOPALI AWARD: Adviser to Sindh Chief Minister for Information Salahuddin Haider on Tuesday said that Mohsin Bhopali was a valuable asset of Pakistan.
He suggested to the Sindh government to institute an award in Mohsin Bhopali’s name for students and writers engaged in research on Urdu literature.
Noted poet Jamiluddin Aali presided over the meeting.
He said this was the first-ever function held at government level to pay tribute to a poet or writer.
He described the act as the start of a good tradition.
Provincial Ombudsman Yusuf Jamal said Mohsin Bhopali showed his compatriots the way to come out of the shell of their person.—APP
