KGS win soccer tie

KARACHI, Jan 26: Rizwan Butt and Yasin Ali Bhai found the target twice to give Karachi Grammar School a huge 9-0 victory over The Avicenna School in the Karachi United school soccer championship at DHA Stadium on Friday.

The defending champions got of to a flying start with an eighth-minute Daniyal Alvi goal followed by Yasin strikes in the 10th and 16th minutes.

Shahab Raza made it 4-0 in the 25th minute before Mustafa Dewan found the cage in the 40th minute. Rizwan slotted home twice in the 41st and 45th minutes, Omar Akhtar came into action for the eighth two minutes later, while Daniyal Gilani wrapped up with a 51st-minute goal.
