Rs2.8m, 2,200 Saudi riyals looted


RAWALPINDI, Jan 26: Robbers on Friday looted Rs2.8 million and 2200 Saudi riyals in cash and huge quantity of calling cards in two separate strikes in the city, police said. A gang of three robbers entered a cellphone shop in Satellite Town and held its owner Abdul Aziz at gunpoint. They looted Rs2.6 million in cash and calling cards valuing Rs200,000 and escaped.

Meanwhile, robbers riding a car bearing government number plate intercepted an expatriate Muhammad Shakeel outside Islamabad airport and looted 2200 Saudi riyals and Rs60,000 in cash from him.—Staff Reporter
