MANU BHEEL: Counsel for Manu Bheel on Friday argued in the Hyderabad circuit bench of the Sindh High Court that if the main accused in the kidnapping case of nine family members of Manu Bheel was granted bail then he would again flee the country and make the recovery of detained persons impossible.
Advocate Rana Aslam was arguing the case on behalf of Bheel on a bail plea filed by Abdul Rehman Mari through Allah Bachayo Soomro, seeking bail in the kidnapping case.
The counsel said that he was arrested after eight months efforts by police and only surrendered to the apex court after his 1,600 acres of agricultural land was attached under court orders.
He said that there would be no conviction in the case if he fled the country while detained persons would not be recovered by police.
He disputed the defence counsel’s arguments that his client needed treatment.
He said that he could be treated at the civil hospital and that previously at no forum the same argument was advanced that he needed medical treatment and no such document was earlier produced by the accused.
He said that medical documents had been managed by him and requested the court to declare his room or ward as sub-jail at the civil hospital.
