KARACHI: Trailer kills pedestrian

KARACHI, Jan 26: A speeding trailer knocked down a pedestrian to death in the limits of Pak Colony police station on Friday. Police said Mohammad Hanif, 55, was hit and killed by a speeding trailer (TCP-638). The body was shifted to the hospital. Following the accident, area people caught the driver, beat him and handed him to the police.

At Malir Halt, a speeding Metro Bus hit traffic constable Mohammad Ajmal, 35, and ran away. The injured was shifted to JPMC where his condition was said to be stable.

BODY FOUND: The body of a 40-year-old man was found in New Karachi Industrial Area. Police said he was a drug addict.
