CHITTAGONG, Jan 23: The average price of Bangladesh teas fell 1.33 per cent to 95.85 taka ($1.37) per kg on lower overseas demand at a weekly auction on Tuesday, brokers said.“Nearly 1.2 million kg were sold at an average price of 95.85 taka per kg, down 1.30 taka from the last sale. The withdrawal percentage was 31.43,” said an official of the National Brokers Limited, the country's largest tea broker.

Buyers from Pakistan and Bangladesh participated in the auction, in which different grades sold at between 55 and 171 taka.—Reuters
