KARACHI, Jan 23: Four ships carrying containers and chemicals were accommodated berths at QICT and EVT during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, one more container ship was also arrived at the outer anchorage. Berth occupancy was maintained at eighty per cent as nine ships, CSAV Ningbo, London, Annie Sierra, Sea Express, Venus-7, Dredger Twin-1, Seal Luck-II, Fair Sprit and Sinar Agra, were busy in loading and unloading containers, rice, edible oil, canola seed, crude oil and chemicals.

Cargo handling was brisk at the wharves totaling 129,520 tons comprising 116,532 tons of import and 12,988 tons of export tonnage.

Capt. George-L left the port while Express, Venus-7, Fair Spirit, Sinar Agra and London were due to depart.
