Garrison ‘A’ retain crown
LAHORE, Jan 21: Garrison 'A' retained the team title with a three-day aggregate score of 739 in the 17th Corps Commander golf Cup on Sunday. Garrison 'A' team comprising Dr.Javed Iqbal, Maj.Nisar Khan, Salahuddin Ghafoor, Brig. Ashfaq Rehman, remained leaders on all three days to retain the title.
The Lahore Gymkhana 'A' team could not maintain its position and lost its second place to Garrison 'B' string, whose members were Rashid Rasheed, Farrukh Pirracha, Masood Elahi Piracha and Haimd Jamshad.
In the Individual net event, Salahuddin Ghafoor emerged as winner, leaving behind the first two-day leader Tipu Salahuddin. Salahuddin Ghafoor came from behind and with a net final round score of 68, four-under-par, he was able to secure a first net position.
Farrukh Pirracha, a very young teenager and a upcoming player managed to show his talent and won second position. Hashim Butt won the third spot.
Adil Jehangir dominated the gross and came first with aggregate of 215 (74, 72 and 69).
