Published January 22, 2007

KARACHI, Jan 21: The PPP candidate for NA-250 (Karachi), Nafees Ahmed Siddiqui, has called for a thorough probe into the alleged corrupt practices and technical flaws vis-a-vis the construction of Clifton Underpass, and pledged that he would raise the issue with the authorities concerned if elected to the National Assembly in the February 10 by-election.

Addressing several corner meetings, he claimed that the slackness on the part of the government during the construction of the underpass, the people living in Clifton, Bath Island, Delhi Colony, Punjab Colony, Boat Basin and Neelum Colony were faced immense hardship.
