RAWALPINDI, Jan 20: Struggling Quetta were left battling for survival after Abbottabad enforced the follow-on in their Quaid-i-Azam Trophy Silver League match at the KRL Stadium on Saturday.
Quetta were 0-0 after making 228 in the first innings in reply to Abbottabad’s 413 on the third day of the match.
Slow left-armer Dilawar Khan was the main destroyer with figures of five for 42 as only Sabir Hussain batted with conviction to make 92 with 16 boundaries.
Earlier, former Karachi player Wajid Ali converted his overnight 70 into an unbeaten 100 – his maiden first-class century as Abbottabad added 50 to their Friday’s total of 363 for six.
