Tipu leads Net event

LAHORE, Jan 19: A six handicapper, Tipu Sultan, of Bahawalpur entered the best card of 65 on the first day of the 17th Corps Commander golf championship to lead the net event at the Lahore Garrison course on Friday.

Others who performed well on the first day were M.Rehman, Farrukh Pirracha, Dr.Javed Iqbal, Nawaz Bhatti, Dr.Dildar Hussain, Abduallah Sharif and Brig.Ashfaq Rashid.

In the team event, the defending champions Lahore Garrison was the leader with aggregate of 215.

The team comprises Maj.Nisar Khan, Brig.Ashfaq Rashid, Dr.Javed Iqbal and Salahuddin Rashid. The main contributors to this aggregate were Maj. Nisar Khan, Brig. Ashfaq Rashid and Dr.Javed Iqbal.

The leaders were closely chased by Royal Palm, who had aggregate of 221.

The team members are Hassan Hameed, Hamid Sharif, Abdullah Sharif and Hussain Hamid.
