KARACHI, Jan 19: Abbas Raza steered hosts Karachi to straight 2-0 victory over defending champions Islamabad in the final to land Inter-board (boys) tennis trophy at UBL Sports Complex on Friday.

After downing Sadanul Haq 1-6, 6-2, 6-4 in singles, he teamed up with Amir Darwesh to clinch the doubles by getting the better of Sadanul Haq – Jibranul Haq 4-6, 6-2, 7-5 .

The final lasted for about four hours.

Results (final):

Karachi Board bt Islamabad Board 2-0

Singles: Abbas Raza bt Sadanul Haq 1-6, 6-2, 6-4.

Doubles: Abbas Raza – Amir Darwesh bt Sadanul Haq – Jibranul Haq 4-6, 6-2, 7-5.
