LAHORE, Jan 19: Azhar Mahmood claimed a five-wicket haul to help Islamabad seize control of their Quaid-i-Azam Trophy Silver League tie against Lahore Ravi at the LCCA Ground on Friday.
Azhar, the former Test all-rounder, captured five for 33 as Lahore Ravi were skittled out for 138 after resuming the second day at 59 for two. Azhar received good support from fellow pacers Rao Iftikhar (2-32) and Rauf Akbar (3-40)
Azhar also shone with bat, making an unbeaten 28 as the Islamabad ended the day at 172 for three. Bilal Asad (62, nine fours) and Afaq Raheem (38) shared a second-wicket stand of 102.
