KARACHI, Jan 19: Taking serious notice of the continued manufacturing and sale of ‘gutka’ despite a ban in place, Adviser to the CM on Home Waseem Akhtar on Friday ordered police to launch a crackdown on the violators of the ban. Talking to various delegations here on Friday, he said due to the non-implementation of the ban, ‘gutka’ was manufactured and sold freely. He warned SHOs, TPOs and DPOs of action against them if the business continued unchecked in their jurisdictions anymore.—PPI
