Karachi Whites in league cricket final

KARACHI, Jan 18: Opener Naved Khan hit an unbeaten century for Karachi Blues but his effort failed to stop Karachi Whites from reaching the Sindh Inter District Super League Cricket final as they notched up a thrilling six-wicket win here at the KCCA Stadium on Wednesday.

Naved, who is leading the team, made 117, giving his team a 168-run opening stand with Daniyal Ahsan (41) as Karachi Blues posted 223-3 off their 45 overs. Karachi Whites, in reply, reached the target of 224 with two balls to spare. Iqbal Sheikh hit an aggressive 53 with three fours and a six while Faisal Mirza made 52.

Summarised scores:

KARACHI BLUES 223-3 in 45 overs (Naved Khan 117 not out, Daniyal Ahsan 41; Iqbal Sheikh 3-47); KARACHI WHITES 224-4 in 44.4 overs (Iqbal Sheikh 53, Faisal Mirza 52, Tariq Haroon 27, Ahmer Saeed 25; Shahzeb Khan 2-46). –APP
