Golf Cup begins in Lahore

LAHORE, Jan 18: Around 110 golfers will lock horns in the three-day 17th Lahore Corps Commander Golf Cup which starts at the Lahore Garrison Club on Friday (today). Six events — Challenge Cup, individual net, gross, seniors, ladies and boys — will be contested in the event, which confines to amateurs only.

The host defend title in the Challenge Cup while former Test cricketer Aamir Sohail tries to save his individual net crown.

Prominent golfers who have confirmed their participation in the contest are: Aadil Jahangir, Imran, Fakhar Imam, Tashfeen Ashraf and Mohammad Safdar.
