KARACHI, Jan 18: Three ships to load/offload containers and chemicals were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Thursday. Meanwhile, six more ships carrying containers, edible oil, HSD oil, canola seeds and chemicals also arrived at the outer anchorage. Berth occupancy was maintained at 70pc as seven ships, Mimosa, CGM Nilgai, Annie Sierra, Sibi, Crandiosa, Shina and Buenos Aires, were busy in loading and unloading containers, rice, seeds, chemicals oil and coal.

A cargo volume of 34,864 tons comprising 29,890 tons of import and 4,974 tons of export tonnage was handled. Sailing was active as Crandiosa, Buenos Aires and Shina left the port.
