KARACHI, Jan 18: Eight ships carrying steel scrap, soyabean meal and containers are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was active where five vessels, Hyundai Sprinter, Y.M. Moon to unload and load containers, Annika to offload coal, Oral to unload palm oil and Warbah to offload high speed diesel.

Three ships, APL Jeddah, NCC Jubail and Shintoku departed on Thursday, while Y.M. Moon, Positive Leader, El Tango, Darya Yog, Warbah, Corin Thaikos, Tai He and Andino Park are due to sail out on Friday.

A total tonnage of 0.132m tons comprising 21,612 tons of export cargo including 3,316 tons of rice and 0.110m tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Friday: Johar, Lalazar, with crude oil, Calvin P Titus, Jade-C, Oel Aishwarya, Jade Trader, with containers, Union Ranger with steel scrap and Badulu Valley with soyabean meal.
