ISLAMABAD, Jan 17: Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Mohammad Afzal Tahir departed on an official visit to USA and Saudi Arabia on Wednesday.
During his visit, he will hold talks with his naval counterparts and other senior defence officials.
The naval chief was seen off at the Islamabad airport by Vice Chief of the Naval Staff Vice Admiral Mohammad Haroon, Saudi Ambassador Ali S. Awadh Asseri, defence attache Col Abdullah Saeed Al Ghamdi, US defence attache Col Mc Cornwil and others. Vice Chief of Naval Staff Vice Admiral Mohammad Haroon would be acting chief of the naval staff in his absence.
