DPs registration date extended

Bureau Report

PESHAWAR, Jan 17: The government has extended the registration date for Afghan refugees until Feb 2 as a large number of them still remain unregistered. The National Database Registration Authority (Nadra) has until now registered only 1.5 million Afghans.

The process which began on Oct 15 was supposed to end today (Jan 18) but due to a huge number of refugees not taking interest in the Census 2005, the authorities have decided to extend the deadline.
