New Delhi, Jan 17: Former Indian skipper and middle-order batsman Sourav Ganguly on Tuesday said he is not eyeing the role of captain following his comeback into the national side.
Ganguly, in a television interview on Tuesday, said he has been working towards ironing out the flaws in his game ahead of the West Indies' tour to India for a four-match one-day series, and with the World Cup about two months away, it doesn't call for a change of guard at the helm.
"I am not in the race for captaincy, at least at present. I think we all should back Rahul and not even talk about these things when the World Cup is just two months away," the Calcutta player said.—Agencies
