Five killed, four injured in accident

SHIKARPUR, Jan 17: Five people died and four others received serious injuries when a coach coming from Peshawar rammed into a motorcycle rickshaw near Sarwarkot on Shikarpur-Khanpur Road on Wednesday night.

Those died included Ghulam Hussain Arain, 25, Ghiasuddin, Zahid Sidiki, 6, and Arbab Khatoon, 5. Identity of one of the victims could not be ascertained.

Among the injured rickshaw driver Allahdino alias Shahid, Jamil Shah, Taufique Buriro, 10, and Ms Beebi Mandam Buriro received serious injuries.

The deceased and the injured were travelling in the motorcycle rickshaw who were going to Khanpur from Shikarpur when the accident took place. Police arrested the coach driver and impounded the vehicle.
