KARACHI: Composite exam criticised

KARACHI, Jan 17: Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal MPAs on Wednesday criticized Federal Education Minister Javed Ashraf Qazi for insisting on composite examinations of 9th and 10th classes and demanded that he immediately withdraw `this ridiculous step’.

In a statement issued here, MMA MPAs Nasarullah Shaji, Hameedullah Khan and Younus Barai said the majority of academicians, educational experts, teachers, parents and students were opposing composite exams but the adamant attitude of the education minister was giving rise to their concern.

They said students and teachers in Sindh were resisting combined exams of matriculation and they were compelled to do so, it would have serious consequences.—PPI
