KARACHI, Jan 17: The fourth convocation of PAF—Karachi Institute of Economics and Technology was held on Tuesday evening at PAF Korangi Creek.

A total of 297 students were award degrees. There were 283 students who attended the convocation, while 14 were awarded degrees in absentia. Of them, 87 students were awarded MBA degrees, 80 BBA, 8 MSCS, 14 MCS, 2 MSIT, 14 MBA-MIS, and 92 students were awarded BS and BCS degrees.

Gold medals were awarded to Aqeel Ahmed, Bushra Rehman, Amina Khalfe, Murtaza Hussain, and Sajid Katiya, Silver Medals were awarded to Shujaat Jamal, Waqas Agha, Athar Mehmood, and Akber Ali.

Merit Certificates were awarded to Ahsan Ahmed, Aniqa Bukhari, Farhan Ahmed, Hina Ilyas, Hira Maqsood, Khurram Adeel, Khurram Ahmed, Mateeha Fatima, M. Asim Shehzad, M Iftikhar, Nawaz Butt, Qazi Mohammad Salman, and Tahir Ashraf.

The Chairman Board of Governors KIET and former governor Sindh, Air Marshal (retd.) Azim Daudpota addressing the convocation said besides the contents of the curriculum, students should be made fully aware of the finer values of our society.

President of the Institute, Air Commodore (Retd.) Khalid Hussain presented the annual report. He informed 2400 students study at PAF-KIET. Dr Izhar-ul-Hasan, Chancellor PAF-KIET, welcomed the chief guest and other participants.
